Big night for Vincent at Addington
The progeny of Vincent were in fine form at Addington on Friday night, with the young son of Art Major siring a treble, including the winner of the nightʻs feature race, the Listed Sires Stakes Harness 7000.
Kicking the treble off was the promising Mark and Nathan Purdon trained 2-year-old The Con Artist, who led throughout in the first race of the night to take an easy two length win.
Second on debut a fortnight ago, a win had looked imminent for the Jean Feiss owned youngster.
He is out of the Bettorʻs Delight mare Love The Odds.
The Bob Butt trained Bronson then showed a terrific turn of foot to take the honours in the $50,000 Sires Stakes Harness 7000 for 3-year-old pacers.
Stakes placed as a juvenile last season, the lightly raced gelding has only finished once outside of the top three and has now won more than $46,500 in stakes.
Bred by Gael Murray, Bronson is out of the Somebeachsomewhere mare Orlando Star.
Rounding out the winning treble for Vincent was Vessem, who was fresh up since placing fourth in the Group 1 Sires Stakes 3YO Colts and Geldings Final back in May.
A multiple Group 2 winner last season, Vessem has now won six races and $131,165 in stakes earnings.
Vessem is out of the Bettorʻs Delight mare Imke B, who has also left the stakes winning full brother to Vessem, Vinke B.
With his oldest crop just four years of age this season, Vincent is the sire of 11 stakes winners to date.
